Finally! I got a Google Business Listing!
What a lovely little new year surprise I just received in 2025! After over a year of failed attempts at getting my Google Business listing approved I have finally managed to get approved!

In mid-2023 I decided to restart my sharpening business under a new name after taking several years off from sharpening while building a tech startup. As things wound down with the startup, I got the urge to sharpen again, but one thing I realized that was different was the Google Business application process. When I first started my old sharpening business I easily got approved for my Google My Business listing. For some reason the new listing process makes it difficult and unclear on how to register yourself in regards to a services business versus a brick and mortar store. About a month ago after no luck in getting approve my application was deleted by Google and I tried again this time making sure to list myself as a regional service business, which apparently was the trick all along (thanks Sharpening Guild for the tip!)
I'm pretty giddy about this - and I really appreciate everyone who's supported Sharpen Something at farmers markets in the regions and otherwise. You're making it possible for me to do what I love!
